GMGN copy-trading fees: what a copied trade really costs

Sources checked 16 October 2026 · By FuturesEdge

Copying a wallet does not reproduce its exact entry, exit or return. Your order has its own execution price and costs, and fixed transaction costs matter more on smaller positions.

What GMGN documents

GMGN's official copy-trading guide describes a 1% handling fee alongside gas priority costs. It warns that frequent copying and high priority fees can consume SOL even when the copied trades show profits. Confirm the current cost in your own transaction preview.

Why your result can differ from the copied wallet

Small amounts make fixed fees visible

For an illustrative $20 position, 1% buy fee, 1% sell fee, 2% estimated exit slippage and $0.50 in total fixed costs imply a 6.70% reference-price gain to break even. At $100, the same assumptions imply 4.64%. These are scenarios, not measured GMGN execution costs.

What to check before enabling a copy task

  1. Read the transaction preview and your selected sell mode.
  2. Add estimated buy and sell priority costs and any other separately charged fixed costs.
  3. Check the size and liquidity filters against the orders you expect to copy.
  4. Reconcile completed trades against your wallet balance, including failed transactions and rewards.

GMGN's guide also describes an execution-speed mode that uses unconfirmed transactions, with rollback and duplicate-execution risks. Faster execution does not establish better returns. This guide does not recommend wallets to copy or promise profitable settings.
