Axiom fees: why a winning trade can still leave less SOL

Sources checked 16 October 2026 · By FuturesEdge

A rising token price does not tell you what is left after the buy, sell and transaction costs. Start with the full round trip, rather than the percentage shown on a chart.

What to include in an Axiom trade

Cost How to account for it
Trading fees Use the actual buy and sell fee shown for your account. Add separately charged venue fees where applicable.
Priority fees and MEV tips Add the amounts actually paid across both transactions. Convert SOL costs to the same currency as your position.
Execution slippage Estimate the loss from execution versus your reference price. The slippage tolerance setting is a limit, not a fee you always pay.
Cashback Keep a later reward separate from the cash required to trade. Count it once when reconciling realised results.

Axiom documents priority fees, slippage and MEV protection as separate settings in its market-order guide. There is no single priority-fee setting that guarantees a fill.

What do Axiom's published fee tiers mean?

The official fee page lists net rates from 0.95% at Wood to 0.75% at Champion, with cashback depending on tier. A net rate after rewards is different from the immediate amount charged. Check your actual trading screen and rewards terms before using a rate in the calculator.

A $100 worked example

Suppose the position value before costs is $100, the total buy fee is 1%, the sell fee is 1%, estimated exit slippage is 2% and fixed round-trip costs are $0.50. These are illustrative inputs, not an Axiom quote.

The total amount to recover is $101.50. With 97% of the reference exit value remaining after the assumed exit costs, the position needs a reference value of $104.64: a 4.64% gain. On a $20 position with those same settings, the required gain is 6.70%.

Reconcile a trade that shows a profit

  1. Compare the wallet balance before the buy and after the final sell, allowing for unrelated transfers and positions.
  2. Find the buy and sell execution amounts and itemise trading fees, transaction costs and any refunds or rewards.
  3. Check what the displayed P&L includes; avoid treating a chart move as a cash return.

The calculator is a planning estimate for one full buy and sell. Partial exits, multiple entries, changing SOL exchange rates and failed transactions need a fuller ledger.
