Bybit Fees & Leverage Explained (2026)
Bybit is one of the larger global derivatives exchanges by trading volume, publicly stating licenses in several jurisdictions. Here's what it actually charges and offers, verified against Bybit's own fee schedule and public market-data API.

The figures above are Bybit's non-VIP base rate. Bybit also runs a separate, lower fee schedule for options, and a further discount for accounts holding MNT. Fee tiers scale down substantially at higher VIP levels, based on trading volume and asset balance; check Bybit's own fee page for the rate that applies once you're trading.
Leverage
Bybit's public market-data API reports a maximum leverage of 100× on the BTCUSDT linear perpetual contract. As with other exchanges, the maximum available leverage steps down as your position's notional value grows past Bybit's risk-limit tiers, and the cap is lower on smaller, less liquid pairs than it is on BTCUSDT.
Markets
Bybit's product range spans spot, derivatives (USDT-, USDC- and inverse-margined perpetuals and futures), options, TradFi products (stocks, indices, gold and forex), an Earn suite, a card product, launchpad token sales, and copy trading. Bybit's own site states over 3,000 cryptocurrencies listed and 20+ trading tools, and states it holds licenses in Vienna, Cyprus, Dubai and other markets.
Who Bybit suits
Traders who want deep derivatives liquidity from one of the larger exchanges by volume, combined with a broad TradFi and Earn product suite beyond pure crypto trading. Its stated regulatory licensing in specific jurisdictions may also matter to traders who weight that factor when choosing a venue, though a stated license doesn't necessarily cover every product or every user's home jurisdiction — check what applies to you directly with Bybit.
